A husband and wife team, Teresa & Bob have been making stained glass panels
and gifts for over 15 years for military and civilian communities. After Bob’s
retirement from the Air Force and their move to the Florida Panhandle, they
discovered Glass Act in Ft Walton Beach. Teresa took classes in fusing from
Suzette and immediately fell in love with the process and the wonderful pieces of
art that could be made from “melting” glass. She started creating her own line of
fused glass jewelry which she now sells worldwide. Suzette is a wonderful
instructor and with the patience of a “saint”, gives each student all the time and
assistance they need to succeed.
After a couple of years of fusing and 3 kilns later, both Teresa and Bob became interested in glass bead making.
It’s amazing to sit at the torch and watch a rod of glass turn into a beautiful bead. They took several classes at
Glass Act and now have a “home studio and web site” to make and display their art. Bob set up a torch in their
garage and has been diligently perfecting and designing beads.
Glass Act and their staff offer a wonderful “teaching and working” studio. It is so refreshing to be able to just drop
in and ask questions, and Mike and Suzette are always willing to take time to help customers solve problems. It is
great to have a local teaching studio on our area and owners that make each and every customer feel like family.
