From an early age Lucy began experimenting with artistic elements culminating in a
degree in Interior Design. Her interest in clean line form, however, found its fullest
expression in stained glass after taking a class at Glass Act.
“Glass Act has supported me in my many ventures. Judie Betts, one of Glass Acts
employees and instructor, has many year of stain glass experience. She is so very
helpful when I am stuck and has and eye for colors which is most helpful. Their entire
staff is very encouging and is always there to cheer me on. I can always find what I need
(and more). Mike has framed a number of my projects, which helps add to the over all
beauty and value of my work.”
Lucy grew up in Pensacola, Florida where she developed a love for the ever-changing
sea and skies of the Gulf Coast region. She tries to bring this same passion to life in my glasswork, often choosing
rich clear colors and textures that echo her earliest memories.
Lucy makes commissions her first priority, considering each of her client’s vision as she designs custom, creative
pieces that are unique, and one-of-a-kind.
Lucy’s dedication to capturing the spirit of each piece and her attention to detail has made her a much sought out
local stained glass artist. She has shared her work with the public in many shows in the Florida area. In 2007,
Lucy’s tenacity came to the forefront when her work was chosen as the second place winner of the Interstate Fair
in Pensacola.
Lucy is at home in her working studio in the Florida panhandle where she lives with her husband Vaughn and
their two dogs, Pee-Dee and Betsy.
